HMI 21 Days Big Boss: Stay Home and Win Trip to Darjeeling

The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Darjeeling, in support of the lockdown, has come up with innovative online challenges and activities to motivate all to stay at home and stay safe. The Big Boss Challenge will be held in two categories — for HMI course participants and Open category.

Darjeeling: Stay at home during the lockdown period and win a vacation to Darjeeling. Yes! You read it right. The “HMI, 21 Days Big Boss Indoor Challenge- Fight Against COVID-19” provides you with this opportunity.

The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Darjeeling, in support of the lockdown, has come up with innovative online challenges and activities to motivate all to stay at home and stay safe. The Big Boss Challenge will be held in two categories — for HMI course participants and Open category.

Under the Open category, participants have to upload videos or pictures of activities that they are undertaking while staying indoors or how one is spending time being at home.

The videos and pictures have to be uploaded everyday single day during the lockdown starting from March

“The person who uploads the best video or picture will get an opportunity to stay for 5 nights and 4 days at the HMI, Darjeeling. The second prize will be 3 nights and 2 days at the HMI. The person adjudged third will wing an HMI tracksuit,” stated group captain Jai Kishan, principal, HMI.

All entries will win certificates. The first 1,000 entries will win copies of the movie Making of a Mountaineer.

Along with this, there are many other awards in the form of HMI souvenirs and goodies. One can write articles of 21 days’ lockdown and email it to hmidarj@gmail.com.

The best article will be published in the annual journal of the institute and the person will receive free HMI journals for five years.

Owing to the lockdown, the HMI has decided to keep the students in the hostels. The students will take part in competitions including prayer, yoga, meditation, cleanliness, gardening, group discussion, poetry, essay-writing and storytelling.
