The survey of over 15,000 people globally, including in India, US, Mexico, Brazil, China, Japan, UK, Germany, France, and Italy, was done between March 31 and April 27 this year. It found that Indians, at 89%, are among the biggest adopters of technology to transform children’s education and balance their lives; the Chinese follow at 85%.

As of now, there are more than 3 crore digital resources available through the National Digital Library. The contents cover almost all major domains of education and all major levels of learners. More than 50 lakh students have registered themselves in the National Digital Library with about 20 lakh active users.

The joint project by Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Uttar Pradesh government and the UN International Children’s Fund (UNICEF) will include a total of 120 episodes of 15 minutes each that would be broadcast for the 2019-20 academic session. “The project will help students learn English by listening. It will prove to be a significant step to boost the morale and raise the confidence of students in their English speaking skill.”

India on Monday successfully launched its second lunar mission Chandrayaan-2 onboard its powerful rocket GSLV-MkIII-M1 from the Sriharikota spaceport to explore the uncharted south pole of the celestial body by landing a rover.
