The Centre has asked all universities in the country to translate their learning material and literature into all Indian languages as a part of the government’s Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) celebration to mark 75 years of India’s independence. The universities have been asked to chalk out plans with a timeline by November 20, according to a letter to them from University Grants Commission secretary Rajnish Jain dated November 2.

Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan has launched Bhasha Sangam, a mobile app that helps students to learn common usage sentences in 22 languages. The app has been developed by Multibhashi, an app selected by myGov through a competition.

Twelve Indian schools, including the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bengaluru and six Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), are among the top 500 universities in the QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2022, which were released on Thursday, 23rd September 2021.

The B.Des. programme will be offered by the Institute’s Department of Design, which came into existence in 2017. The four-year programme will have 20 seats to start with, and will be open to students of all specializations such as science, arts, and commerce. Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog in collaboration with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) successfully launched the ATL Space Challenge 2021 for all school students across the country.

A total of 71 Indian institutions have qualified for the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2022, up from 63 last year, although none of them cracked the top 300 list.

Geological Survey of India Training Institute (GSITI),Hydrabad,  the training and capacity building wing of the  Geological Survey of India (GSI), under the Ministry of Mines  has recently launched its 24×7 website(https://training.gsiti.gsi.gov.in/)  for round-the-clock accessibility of various online training courses on Earth Sciences to its stakeholders. This is in tune with the Digital India Campaign of the Government of India.
