New Method for Efficient Removal of Heavy Metals from Water

Heavy metals in water could lead to several neurological diseases in humans including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and multiple sclerosis. A research team at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi has developed a fibrous membrane filter using a biopolymer-based material that helps to separate out the heavy metals from water samples.

ISRO Human Spaceflight: Indian Firm Delivers Component for Crew Module

Data Patterns, a Chennai-based firm delivered a crucial component that is meant to be used in Gaganyaan, which is India’s ambitious human spaceflight programme. ISRO to Attempt Solar Mission by End of 2021

The mission will carry six scientific payloads that will study the visible surface of the sun called photosphere, the irregular layer over it called the Chromosphere, and the layer of plasma called Corona, which extends for thousands of kilometers and has a very high temperature of around 6,000 Kelvin (5726.85 degrees Celsius), according to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The mission is almost ready for launch, people aware of the developments said.

Endangered Indian Vultures Sighted in Jaisalmer

Schedule 1st Indian vultures, which are on the verge of extinction, have been sighted in Degrai Oran area. Wildlife enthusiast Sumer Singh Bhati saw around 200 Indian vultures at Degrai pasture land in Fatehgarh tehsil in Jaisalmer district on Friday.
