IndiaAI and National Cancer Grid Launch CATCH Grant Program to Support AI Innovations in Cancer Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment

The Challenge will focus on high-impact categories including AI-enabled screening, diagnostics, clinical decision support, patient engagement, operational efficiency, research, and data curation. A total of up to 10 proposals will be selected for piloting under this round, based on technical maturity, feasibility, and alignment with healthcare delivery needs.

Trade Connect E-platform For Exports Is Single Window, Fast, Accessible And Transformational: Shri Piyush Goyal

The Trade Connect e-Platform serves as a one-stop solution, providing exporters with near real-time access to critical trade-related information, while seamlessly connecting them to key government entities such as the Indian Missions abroad, Department of Commerce, Export Promotion Councils, and other trade experts. Whether a seasoned exporter or a new entrant, the platform is designed to assist businesses at every stage of their export journey. This e-Platform shall connect more than 6 Lakh IEC holders, over 180 Indian Mission officials, over 600 Export Promotion Council Officials, besides the officials from DGFT, DoC, banks etc.

 As part of the ‘eShram – One Stop Solution’ project, Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE) has been working to integrate major schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY), Pradhan Mantri Street Vendor’s Atmanirbhar Nidhi (PM-SVANidhi), Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G), Ration Card scheme etc. for the benefit of the unorganised workers.

New Technology to Help Combat Climate Change

In a development that could help combat climate change significantly, a team of researchers at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) – Guwahati, in partnership with the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Limited, has designed and developed a technology that promises to help capture carbon dioxide emissions from power plants. The technology has been found to consume about 11 percent less energy compared to existing commercial methods.
