This marks the first over-subscription of a renewable energy capsule in nearly two years during which auctions for solar and wind energy projects of over 10 GW had to be extended, postponed or retendered in the absence of response from investors.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Railways, the electric locomotive has undergone a substantial change as suggested by the RDSO and a subsequent inspection was carried at the Madhepura unit and cleared for dispatch from factory.
Over 7,000 brands have already enrolled in Project Zero across US, Europe and Japan. Several Indian brands also took part in a pilot to support the company in order to test the experience in India.
The agreement was signed at the annual Action for India Forum 2019. In order to create an ecosystem to support tech-enabled, social impact start-ups, the experiences and resources are pooled in and aid is provided by the partners to scale up the operations of the target group of start-ups.
“Ten International buyers from seven countries of Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Indonesia, UAE, Sultanate of Oman and Greece participated in the meet and interacted with exporters,” commerce and industry ministry said in a release on Friday.
Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and two ministers of state for agriculture will be present at the event, which is expected to see a participation from 108 countries and over 600 delegates.
Informing about the event, Bharat Bhushan Babu, spokesperson, Ministry of Defence said, “The 200-metre long bridge between Jonai-Pasighat-Ranaghat-Roing road will provide connectivity between Dibang Valley and Siang to meet the long-pending demand of the people of Arunachal Pradesh as it would cut down the travel time from Pasighat to Roing by about five hours.”
At present, India has around 20 per cent of all its exports to the RCEP countries and receives 35 per cent of all imports from them. China is the leader of this export-import circle. It is the largest exporter to almost all countries of the group, including India. Of India’s $105 billion trade deficit with RCEP countries, China accounts for $53 billion. Widening trade deficit would empty foreign exchange reserve of India at a faster rate. And, a depleting foreign reserve is never good for any economy and is least desirable for the one trying to recover.

“The renewable energy capacity which has been installed is 83 GW and under installation is 31 GW and 35 GW capacity is underbidding. So this becomes around 140-145 GW. In hydro, we have installed capacity of around 45 GW and under installation capacity is about 13 GW, which makes it (hydro) around 60 GW. So we will cross 200 GW capacity of renewable energy by 2022,” the minister said. Singh said that more than 55 per cent of installed power generation in India will be from renewable sources by 2030.
