Indian Institute of Skills to Offer Certificates, Advanced Diplomas & Univ Degrees

The proposed IIS will be established in PPP mode. These proposed IISs will have state-of-the-art skill centres conceptualized to bring in best-in-class infrastructure and facilities to meet the aspirations of students who enter the skill learning domain directly after class X/XII (like ITI & diploma courses) instead of the traditionally preferred pathway of higher education.

India to Explore Corridor Between Resource-Rich Arctic & INSTC

“We look forward to cooperating with Russia in the Arctic Council and we are actively discussing potential areas of cooperation including in the sphere of energy security, scientific exploration and research and connectivity. We will explore the possibility of establishing connectivity between the Arctic Region and INSCTC,” Verma said in his address at the IX International Forum ‘Arctic: Today and the Future”.

Tata Lockheed to be Ready with F16 Wings by October 2020 – Make in India

Tata Lockheed Martin Aerostructures Limited chief operating officer Abhay Paranjape told Telangana Today, “Our goal is to be ready with the first F16 wing by October next year. We are going to make the wings in the existing facility. We are building the prototype now and once we build and prove it, we will go for bidding for orders. We will have a capacity to make 3-4 wings a month in the steady state. We have already completed the 3D modeling for the F16 wings.”

Cabinet Approves Pact with Germany on Railways

The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi was apprised of the Joint Declaration of Intent (JDI) between India and Germany regarding cooperation on strategic projects in the field of Railways. The Joint Declaration of Intent was signed last month.
