Kargil Highway to be Kept Open in Winters as Well

“The proposal of the Ladakh Rescue Centre for keeping open Zojila (30 kilometres in total) has got approval of the Ministry of Defence. You are requested to give appropriate direction to the Mechanical Division Kargil, and place adequate funds at their disposal facilitating them to conduct the work in coordination with Project Beacon and Vijayak this season itself,” reads the communication.

India, Japan Trade Ministers Discuss Review of CEPA Ahead of PMs Meet

In the hour-long meeting, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal conveyed to Japanese Trade and Industry Minister Hiroshi Kajiyama that “market access for India’s goods and services with partner countries is very important but despite commitments in CEPA from Japan, market access for India’s goods and services remains elusive”.

Over 36 Lakh Women Farmers have Benefited from Govt Scheme

“Under MKSP, 36.06 lakh mahila kisans have been benefited through 84 projects in 24 states/UTs in the country, out of which 1.81 lakh women have been benefited in Maharashtra. A total central allocation of Rs 847.5 crore has been made towards implementation of the approved projects,” the minister said.
