Chennai-based GreenPod Labs is developing an Indian biotechnology solution to tackle this problem differently. Instead of relying entirely on refrigeration or conventional post-harvest chemical treatments, the company uses natural plant-derived compounds to stimulate the produce’s own defence mechanisms after harvesting.
The two-day exposition, being held on September 11–12, is organised by the Union Ministry of Education in coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs. It forms part of the programme surrounding the 18th BRICS Summit, which India is hosting in New Delhi on September 12–13 under its BRICS Chairship.
The development comes as ePlane works through the Directorate General of Civil Aviation’s certification process and prepares a certification-conforming aircraft for flight testing, currently targeted for April 2027.
For TakeMe2Space, the agreement is significant because the company is attempting something different from a conventional Earth-observation constellation. Its satellites are being designed as computing nodes in orbit, carrying processors capable of analysing imagery and running artificial-intelligence workloads before data is transmitted to the ground.

Carbon-fibre composites are therefore increasingly used in fairings, structural panels, pressure-system components, satellite structures and other aerospace hardware.
An inspection robot can carry cameras and sensors into a hazardous area and send information back to an operator. A mobile manipulator can potentially go further by operating equipment, moving objects or performing simple intervention tasks without sending a worker into the same environment.
One of the clearest examples is GAGAN — GPS Aided GEO Augmented Navigation, India’s indigenous Satellite-Based Augmentation System developed jointly by the Indian Space Research Organisation and the Airports Authority of India.
The company formally opened the new facility on September 10, 2026, at the MSME Technology Centre in the KIADB Aerospace Park in Bengaluru North.
Named the BIGGA Factory — short for Big Global Ambition — the plant will be located at the SIPCOT Industrial Park in Shoolagiri, near Hosur, one of southern India’s largest automotive manufacturing clusters.
IndoWings is also pursuing a low-observable airframe, with the design philosophy placing emphasis on reduced signature, aerodynamic efficiency, speed and endurance. The company has not disclosed the engine selected for the aircraft, its intended maximum speed, range, service ceiling or radar-cross-section targets.
