The joint operation teams of the Indian security forces have beefed up their search operation against terrorist outfits and have been successful in apprehending many cadres and linkmen of the terrorist outfits in recent times

During the operational demonstration to the Defence Minister planned at the Anderson Bay island, the Andaman and Nicobar Command will carry out a drill where the three Services- Army, Navy and Air Force-will carry out a mission along with the Coast Guard, to show the unity among services on ground, Defence Ministry officials said.

Taking inspiration from the soldiers in the village, the youths have been striving to be solders in the defence forces.

“Our forces are responding appropriately to any provocation but the news does not come here. Pakistan is frustrated because it is not able to push infiltrators. It (Pakistan) was against the Panchayat polls and is unhappy over its successful conclusion,”

Thirty youths of different ethnicity and economically backward class were selected to participate in the programme by the troops of Red Horns Division stationed at Golondi in Udalguri.

The high-speed vessels, capable of operating in shallow waters, were acquired for Sagar Prahari Bal, a unit of the Navy created post-26/11 Mumbai terror attacks as part of the coastal security construct, said a defence press release here.

Sepoy Gurpreet Singh and Sepoy Amrik who developed the UAV explained that it was created by them in 2015. The quadcopter was initially used for surveillance and was later modified to include the weapon system and was recently tested for dropping grenades.
