India Gets Its First Apache Guardian Attack Helicopter in US

Analysts say the addition of the Apache to the Indian Air Force adds a lethal punch to its capabilities given that the Apache is a stealthy, versatile machine, designed for all kinds of missions. It comes equipped with laser and infrared systems for day-night operations and armed with air to surface Hellfire missiles, 70 mm rockets and an automatic cannon.

Indian Army May Acquire 104 Hanwha K-30 Biho Mobile Air Defense System for $2.6-Billion

The weapon was developed to meet the operational requirements of the Republic of Korea Armed Forces for a highly mobile short-range air defense system suited to the operational and terrain conditions of the Korean peninsula. It combines an electro-optically guided 30 mm gun system with a surveillance radar system on a K200 chassis. It supplements the K263A1 Chungung, a self-propelled 20 mm Vulcan system. The K30 is primarily built by Hanwha Defense Systems.

Australian warship makes port call in Chennai

The ship will participate in Exercise La Perouse in the Bay of Bengal. The exercise is aimed at enhancing interoperability, building partner capacity and strengthening the professional relationships with regional nations. The ship will be here till May 15, as part of Australia’s commitment to engage with Indo-Pacific nations and to promote regional maritime security and cooperation.
