India Test-Fires Quick Reaction Surface-to-Air Missile

The state-of-the-art missile has been developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for the India Army.The air defence system, QRSAM, was test-fired at 11.05 am from a mobile truck-based launch unit at complex 3 of the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur near here, DRDO sources said.

India Asks Pak to Take Back Bodies of Its Troops Killed in Army Action

The Pakistani Army has been offered to approach with a white flag and take over the dead bodies for last rites. Pakistan is yet to respond, sources in the Army said on Sunday. The Army had foiled an attack by Pakistan’s Border Action Team (BAT) on a forward post along the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday, killing at least five to seven intruders. The BAT generally comprises special forces personnel of the Pakistani Army and terrorists.

India Expected To Sign for More MiG-29s and Su-30MKIs in October

These would include a contract on 18 additional kits for the Sukhoi Su-30MKI heavyweight multirole fighter for assembly at HAL’s Nasik plant. This would bring the grand total of such aircraft procured since 1999 to 240. Additionally, the Indian Air Force would receive “over 20” used MiG-29 lightweight interceptors from the Russian Air and Space Force (VKS) for their subsequent conversion into MiG-29UPG multirole aircraft.
