Air Marshal HS Arora Appointed New IAF Vice Chief, B Suresh Moves to Head Western Command

Air Marshal HS Arora has been appointed as the Vice Chief of Indian Air Force (IAF).
He will succeed Air Marshal RKS Bhadauria who will take over as the Chief of Air Staff on September 30. Arora currently heads the Gandhinagar headquartered South Western Air Command of the Air Force. Meanwhile, Air Marshal B Suresh has been appointed as Western Air Commander of the Air Force, in New Delhi. Suresh will succeed Kargil war hero Air Marshal Raghunath Nambiar on October 31. He is the incumbent AOC-in-C of Southern Air Command.

Union Defence Ministry Approved Defence Estate Office In Itanagar

The proposed defence estate office would be harbinger of good fortune for land owners along the border areas of the state, official sources informed here on Wednesday.Union Minister of State Kiren Rijiju, who represent Arunachal West parliamentary seat, had persuaded with the defence ministry to get compensation sanctioned. The ministry provided land compensation payment after more than 56 years of India’s war with China.

Army Chief General Bipin Rawat to be New Chairman of CoSC

The Chairman of the CoSC is responsible for the inter-services synergy between the Army, the Air Force, and the Navy. The senior-most chief from amongst all the three services of the defence forces is selected as the Chairman of CoSC. Rawat, who was commissioned into the Indian Army in December 1978, is at present the senior-most chief from all the three services.
