Kamya Karthikeyan, 12-Year-Old Girl From Indian Navy School Creates History

Kamya studies at Navy Children’s School in Mumbai. The Indian Navy gave information about this and told that Kamya Karthikeyan became the youngest girl in the world to summit Mount Aconcagua, the highest peak in South America & outside of Asia. Mount Aconcagua is located in the Andes mountain range of Argentina. Kamya also hoisted the tricolor of India on the mountain peak on 1 February.

HAL gets Modification Document from DGCA for Upgraded Dornier-228 Civil Aircraft

Two civil Do-228 aircraft were produced by the aeronautical agency for launch under the regional connectivity scheme UDAN. But to meet the prospective operator’s requirement of a transport aircraft flyable under Commercial Pilot Licence, their maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) had to be reduced from 6,200kg. HAL undertook efforts to reduce the weight below 5,700 kg, the agency said in a statement.

India Set to Develop Long Range, Land Attack Cruise Missile

A top military source told at the DefExpo2020 that the new weapon will be named Long Range Land Attack Cruise Missile (LRLACM). It will have a range in excess of 1,000 km and will be launched from a UVLM (Universal Vertical Launcher Module) of BrahMos. The unique UVLMs in operation is designed, developed and patented by BrahMos Aerospace.

Navy to Get Third Scorpene Submarine in December

The third Scorpene submarine, Karanj, will be delivered to the Indian Navy by December and all six submarine deliveries would be completed by 2022, Nicolas de La Villemarque, Vice President India, Asia and Pacific of Naval Group, said on Wednesday.
