HMI’s International Bicycle Rally Kickstarts from Mangpoo

According to HMI Group Captain Jai Kishan, the cycle rally commenced at 8.30 am from Jan Maidan in Mangpoo and will conclude at Tiger Hill via Chatakpur and 3rd Mile. A total of 55 participants from Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Kurseong, Dooars, Siliguri and neighbouring country Nepal participated in the bicycle rally.

Hizb Terrorist Saifullah Killed Near Srinagar

In a “big success” for the security forces, Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) chief Dr Saifullah — one of the most wanted terrorists in the Kashmir valley — was gunned down during an encounter near Srinagar on Sunday.
After the death of Riyaz Naikoo in May this year, Hizbul Mujahideen was rendered leaderless until Saifullah took charge of the outfit and ran the terror machine of Pakistan in the Valley, said Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbag Singh.

Indian Army Launches A Software for Infrastructure Management

Realising that automation is the key to empowering all stake holders to transform and become efficient, transparent and enhance accountability, Indian Army has introduced a software named the “Infrastructure Management System (IMS)’ software which was inagurated by the COAS on the sidelines of the Army Commanders Conference on 28 October 2020.

India to Start Basin Trials with its Local-Made INS Vikrant Aircraft Carrier

Citing the naval-technology website, the 110,000 sq ft flight deck of INS Vikrant will feature two take-off runways and a landing strip equipped with three arrester wires. The STOBAR (short take-off but arrested recovery) system on an angled flight deck is used to launch and recover an aircraft from the deck of an aircraft carrier. IAC-2 will be fitted with steam catapults rather than STOBAR to launch fourth-generation aircraft.
