Union AYUSH Minister Shripad Naikhas expressed confidence that COVID-19 can be treated with Ayurveda, adding that in the absence of scientific validation the ancient Indian medicinal stream has only been used as a preventive measure during the current crisis.
It may also be recalled that at the initiative of Prime Minister of India, a SAARC Leaders Video Conference was held on 15 March 2020 to discuss ways to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This will help us to understand the evolution of the virus, how dynamic is it and how fast it imitates. This study will help us to know how fast it evolves and what are the future aspects of it” said Dr Rakesh Mishra, Director, CCMB while speaking with India Science Wire.

India has prepared the INS Sindhuvir, a Soviet-built Project 877 (Kilo-class) submarine for handover to the Myanmar Navy, a military-diplomatic source told TASS. “The submarine’s repair was finalized this February in India. For the next 3-4 months, 1,000 tankers will each make 10-12 trips on an average to Kargil and Leh from the company’s Jammu, Jalandhar and Sangrur terminals to create stockpiles of petrol, diesel, jet fuel, kerosene and LPG. Hindustan Petroleum will move some 20,000 kl from its Bhatinda refinery.
