IITB Develop ‘Smart Stethoscope’ That Can Hear Heartbeats From a Distance

A team at the Indian Institute of Technology of Bombay (IIT-B) has developed a “smart stethoscope” that can listen to heartbeats from a distance and record them, minimising the risk of healthcare professionals contracting the novel coronavirus from patients. The data or the auscultated sound from a patient’s chest is wirelessly sent to the doctor using Bluetooth, doing away with the need to go near to take readings, according to members of the team.

Indian Army Launches Search Operation for Soldier Struck by Avalanche

According to Zee Media sources, the tragedy struck when a brave Indian Army soldier, Lance Naik Sanjeeva Reddy, was operating a dozer in the snowbound high-altitude areas of Sikkim during which he struck by an avalanche. In a statement, the Indian Army said that it immediately launched a search and rescue operation and all-out efforts are being made to locate the soldier.
