ARCI Scientists Convert Tamarind Waste & Cotton Waste to Supercapacitor Electrodes

Tamarind seeds and cotton waste may soon be used to make low-cost supercapacitors for energy storage – thanks to the efforts of a group of Indian scientists who have used such waste biomass to develop materials for making cost-effective supercapacitor devices. This can pave the way towards affordable electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles which bank on supercapacitors significantly for their application in braking systems and start-stop cycles.

NHAI Launches ‘Harit Path’ A Mobile App to Monitor Plantation Along National Highways

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, has developed a mobile App called ‘Harit Path’ to monitor location, growth, species details, maintenance activities, targets and achievements of each of its field units for each and every plant under all plantation projects. The app was inaugurated by the Union Minister for RTH Shri Nitin Gadkari today.

Chinese Army facing Unanticipated Consequences Due to Strong Response from Indian Army

The Indian Army has clearly stated to China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) that “shifting” of the Line of Actual Control(LAC) is not acceptable to it, the sources said, adding the Chinese military is now desperately attempting to give “ex post facto strategic meaning” to its actions in eastern Ladakh. “Due to the strong response of Indian Army, the PLA is faced with unanticipated and unintended consequences of its misadventure,” said a source, adding it is looking for a “face-saving exit strategy”.

‘Mountains of India’ Creates World Record with Most Photos Uploaded on Facebook in An Hour

On 15th August 2020 while India celebrated its 74th Independence Day, a team of passionate mountaineers under the platform Mountains of India created a world record for “Most Photos of People Mountaineering Uploaded to Facebook in One Hour”. The world record attempt took place on digital platform created for dedicatedly promoting Indian Himalaya with name “Mountains of India”.
