Once fully operational, Mahindra says the Nagpur complex will be capable of producing more than five lakh automobiles and one lakh tractors annually, giving it total annual capacity exceeding six lakh units.
Speaking at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2027 Curtain Raiser in New Delhi on 31 August 2026, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade Secretary Amardeep Singh Bhatia said state governments had undertaken more than 40,000 reforms during the preceding decade, describing Gujarat as one of the front-runners in carrying them out. He emphasised that improving the business environment has increasingly become a cooperative exercise involving both the Centre and the states.
The scale of this achievement is visible in the latest international petroleum statistics. According to OPEC’s Annual Statistical Bulletin 2026, India exported approximately 1.386 million barrels per day of petroleum products during calendar year 2025. That volume placed India ahead of major Middle Eastern petroleum producers including Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Iran, Iraq and Bahrain in refined-product exports.
The system is planned for installation in September 2026 through the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, Thiruvananthapuram, subject to final approval from the National Disaster Management Authority. The study, conducted by scientists from IIT Gandhinagar and the ICAR-Directorate of Rapeseed-Mustard Research at Bharatpur, examined two commercially important Brassica rapa varieties — toria and yellow sarson. Kaiga Units 5 and 6 will comprise two indigenous 700 MWe Pressurised Heavy Water Reactors, adding a combined 1,400 MW of nuclear generating capacity at the Kaiga site near Karwar in Karnataka. NALCO’s revenue from operations reached a record ₹17,843 crore in FY2025-26, compared with ₹16,788 crore during the previous financial year, representing growth of around 6%. Profit after tax increased by more than 9% from ₹5,325 crore to a record ₹5,816 crore, while EBITDA rose to ₹8,613 crore and profit before tax reached ₹7,767 crore.
ONGC Chairman and CEO Arun Kumar Singh said the company plans to drill 87 deepwater and ultra-deepwater wells by March 2031. The programme represents an aggressive expansion of offshore exploration at a time when India is seeking to reverse stagnation in domestic oil and gas production and reduce its vulnerability to imported energy.
