Researchers Develop Simple Technique for Assembly of ‘Nanorods’

While nanoparticles have various applications, their synthesis and assembly still remain a major bottleneck restricting their wide usage. Recognizing that a method to assemble gold nanorods (rod-shaped) will open various avenues of its applications, Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) researchers have developed a simple technique for assembly of nanorods.

India Post Launches Five Star Villages Scheme to Ensure 100% Rural Coverage of Postal Schemes

The Department of Posts has launched a scheme called Five Star Villages, to ensure universal coverage of flagship postal schemes in rural areas of the country. The scheme seeks to bridge the gaps in public awareness and reach of postal products and services, especially in interior villages. All postal products and services will be made available and marketed and publicized at village level, under the Five Star Villages scheme.

India Begins Anti-Dumping Probe on Certain Aluminium Imports from China

India has begun an anti-dumping probe in the imports of certain flat rolled products of aluminum originating in or exported from China based on a complaint by Hindalco Industries alleging injury to the domestic industry due to the dumped goods. The Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) will probe the dumping from FY17 to December 2019.
