India May Call Bids for Setting Up Green Hydrogen Plants

Green hydrogen is a next generation fuel, with gas produced through electrolysis from water by using electricity generated through non-greenhouse gas (GHG) producing energy sources such as wind, solar or hydro. Hydrogen is also produced from others sources such as coal, oil and gas.

Hizb Terrorist Saifullah Killed Near Srinagar

In a “big success” for the security forces, Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) chief Dr Saifullah — one of the most wanted terrorists in the Kashmir valley — was gunned down during an encounter near Srinagar on Sunday.
After the death of Riyaz Naikoo in May this year, Hizbul Mujahideen was rendered leaderless until Saifullah took charge of the outfit and ran the terror machine of Pakistan in the Valley, said Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbag Singh.

INR 1,05,155 Crore of Gross GST Revenue Collected in the Month of October 2020

The gross GST revenue collected in the month of October, 2020 is ₹ 1,05,155crore of which CGST is ₹ 19,193 crore, SGST is ₹ 25,411 crore, IGST is ₹ 52,540 crore (including ₹ 23375crore collected on import of goods) and Cess is ₹ 8,011crore (including ₹932 crore collected on import of goods). The total number of GSTR-3B Returns filed for the month of October upto 31stOctober, 2020 is 80 lakh.

Study Finds New Way to Help Plants Fight Viruses Better

A team of researchers at the Epigenetics Lab at Bengaluru-based National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) headed by Dr P V Shivaprasad work on a family of viruses called Geminiviridae that infects a wide range of plants. In a new study, they have identified a previously unknown step in the arms race. Here the weapon used by the plant and the virus is in the form of a few small but important changes to proteins.
