1 in 3 Indian Professionals Optimistic About Personal Finances: LinkedIn

A LinkedIn study revealed that 1 in 3 Indian professionals are now becoming increasingly positive about their financial affairs. Of the 2,022 Indian working professionals surveyed by LinkedIn as part of the Workforce Confidence Index’s 16th edition, 30% anticipate their earned income to increase, 35% expect their personal spending to increase and 35% expect their recurring debt payments to increase.

Centre Approves 29 Projects in the Food Processing Sector

The Inter-Ministerial Approval Committee (IMAC) meeting chaired by Union Minister for Food Processing Industries, Narendra Singh Tomar, approved 21 projects, leveraging investment worth Rs 443 crore supported with a grant of Rs 189 crore under the Scheme for Integrated Cold Chain and Value Addition.

India Imposes 5% Basic Customs Duty on Open Cell Components

India will levy a 5% basic customs duty on imports of picture tubes used in making open cells – used in display screens of LED or LCD televisions – from November 12, 2020. The move will encourage foreign companies to set up display manufacturing units in India, industry insiders said.

India Post Payments Bank, IPPB of Department of Posts & Meity have successfully launched the initiative of the Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare: “Doorstep Service for submission of Digital Life Certificate through Postman”. The facility to submit life certificate online through Jeevan Pramaan Portal was launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister in November 2014 with the objective to provide a convenient and transparent facility to pensioners for submission of Life Certificate.
