As part of forthcoming Republic Day Celebration 2021 and to commemorate 50 Years of 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War, an online quiz competition is being conducted by Ministry of Defence in coordination with MyGov during 11January to 22 January 2021.
Strike corps is primarily aimed to conduct offensive trans-border action against the opposition and India currently has four of them. They are – Mathura-based 1 Corps, Ambala-based II Corps, partially-raised 17 Corps and the Bhopal-based 21 Corps.
The army had been using the land locally known as Khurbathang plateau for field and firing range, logistics, and operational purposes. The civilian administration has assured the army of alternative land.
As per the MoU, army would start vacating the land in March, and hand over its control to the civil administration in six months.

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi in its meeting yesterday considered and approved the proposal of Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade for Central Sector Scheme for Industrial Development of Jammu & Kashmir. India’s seventh Trade Policy Review (TPR) began on Wednesday, 6th January 2021, at the World Trade Organization in Geneva. The TPR is an important mechanism under the WTO’s monitoring function and involves a comprehensive peer-review of the Member’s national trade policies. India’s last TPR took place in 2015.
