India added 9.7 gigawatt (GW) of power generation capacity in FY21 (until February 28, 2021), Parliament was notified on Tuesday. Power and New & Renewable Energy Minister Mr. R K Singh stated in a written reply to Rajya Sabha that India added 9.7 GW of power generation capacity between April 2020 and February 2021, including 3.8 GW of conventional energy and 5.9 GW from renewable sources.
The government has shipped 5.86 crore doses of COVID-19 ‘Made in India’ vaccines to 71 countries as grants as well as commercial sales as part of international manufacturer agreements until March 15, 2021, the Parliament was informed on Tuesday.

The mission will carry six scientific payloads that will study the visible surface of the sun called photosphere, the irregular layer over it called the Chromosphere, and the layer of plasma called Corona, which extends for thousands of kilometers and has a very high temperature of around 6,000 Kelvin (5726.85 degrees Celsius), according to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The mission is almost ready for launch, people aware of the developments said.
