China Cannot Decide My Successor : Dalai Lama

In 1959, following a crackdown on an uprising by the local population in Tibet, the 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, fled to India. He was granted political asylum here and the Tibetan government-in-exile is based in Dharamsala in Himachal Pradesh since then.

Promising Tech Startups Get Grants Worth ₹ 6 Crore

The winners were chosen from over 2400 applicants who presented innovations that aim to bring large scale social impact and industrial transformation in the country. Each startup awardee gets a grant of Rs 25 lakh, while university teams get Rs 10 lakh each to further develop and mature technology solutions proposed by them.

Centre Nod for Largest Hydro-Power Project

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) on Wednesday approved Rs1,600 crore for pre-investment activities and clearances for the Dibang multipurpose project in Arunachal Pradesh, which is estimated to cost Rs 28,080.35 crore to build, and once completed, will generate 2880MW power.

IMA to Train UAE Army Officers, Soldiers

As part of the programme a 20-member UAE contingent reached the IMA on Wednesday, IMA spokesman Lt Col Amit Dagar said, here on Thursday. The army has been facilitating this kind of training engagements with a large number of militaries. However, this is the first time that the UAE officers and soldiers will be trained at the IMA.
