Indian Army Launches in-House Messaging Solution

The Indian Army, today launched a contemporary messaging application named, ASIGMA (Army Secure IndiGeneous Messaging Application) which is a new generation, state of the art, web based application developed entirely in-house by team of officers of the Corps of Signals of the Army.

Scientists have found the first clues to understand violent short duration flares from a compact star of rare category called magnetar located thirteen million light years away. These compact stars with the most intense magnetic field known, of which only thirty have been spotted so far in our galaxy, suffer violent eruptions that are still little known due to their unexpected nature and their short duration. Scientists have long been intrigued by such short and intence bursts — transient X-ray pulses of energies several times that of the Sun and length ranging from a fraction of a few millisecond to a few microseconds.

PM Modi Launches Multiple Development Initiatives Worth INR 2,095 Crore in Varanasi

Foundation stone for 27 projects worth Rs. 2,095 crores (US$ 278.5 million) were laid by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi in his Varanasi parliamentary constituency. The decision comes ahead of the crucial Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, set to take place early next year. Prime Minister and the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, reviewed the development projects before the inauguration.
