First Night Trial of Agni-III Missile Held at Abdul Kalam Island Integrated Test Range
The first night trial of the nuclear capable Agni-III surface-to-surface ballistic missile was carried out from a mobile launcher at the Integrated Test Range at the APJ Abdul Kalam Island off Odisha coast on Saturday, Defence sources said. The trial was carried out by the Strategic Forces Command of the Indian Army with logistic support from the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) at launch complex-4 of the ITR at about 1920 hrs, the sources said.

The Japanese Defence Minister is on a two days bilateral visit to India to attend the inaugural meeting of the India-Japan Foreign and Defence Ministerial (2+2) dialogue which begins from November 30. The Indian delegation will be led by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar while Japan’s Foreign Affairs Minister Toshimitsu Motegi and Defence Minister Taro Kono will lead the Japanese side. The two sides are expected to have discussions on boosting defence and security, amongst other issues of mutual interest.

“Providing loans to MSMEs is a priority of the government. PSBs [public sector banks] have been told to give loans to the sector according to the laid down prudential norms.
