Osaka: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, holding an extensive meeting with US President Donald Trump and Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe right ahead of the formal opening of the G-20 Summit, terms the union of the three countries through the acronym ‘JAI’. Modi took to explain the term to the two country chiefs as J stands for Japan, A for America and I and for India and also added that in Hindi Jai means ‘victory’.
Modi also added that the three chiefs with their respective countries will work for ‘sabka saath, sabka biswas (Together we grow, Together we will build a strong nation). The three leaders agreed to work towards an inclusive framework that focused on growth and development along with security.
Modi could be seen taking lead in the trilateral meeting among the three country heads and also highlighted “the importance India attaches to” the grouping.
Taking part in the trilateral meeting, US president Trump congratulated both the prime ministers of India and Japan for their respective good works in their countries.
PM Modi initiating the trilateral talk, starts with “We share a common interest in the Indo-pacific region. We belong to a place that believes in peace and integrity, we are liable to democracy, and hence, we are liable for the progress and development and a bright future of this region.”
He further added, “It’s America’s dream to become great again and we wish the same. Japan on the basis of Abenomics has scaled new heights. India too is progressing on the mantra of Sabka Saath, Saabka Vikash & Sabka Viswas and Make in India. We 3 are contributing towards development.”
Modi also said that the last time they met in Argentina and after that, they have got to meet this time which has added more belief and power to this vision as well that there will be fruitful discussions in this meeting.
