India and Micronesia on Tuesday discussed ways to further enhance cooperation in development partnership, including in capacity building, and looked forward to further expanding bilateral engagements.

Minister of State for External Affairs, Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh held a virtual interaction with Kandhi A. Elieisar, Secretary (Minister), Department of Foreign Affairs of the Federated States of Micronesia.

The Ministers reviewed the progress made in bilateral relations, development cooperation between India and FSM, including through the Forum for India-Pacific Island Cooperation (FIPIC), and climate action.

The Ministers discussed ways to further enhance cooperation in development partnership, including capacity building, an official statement said.

They looked forward to further expansion of engagements between India and FSM.

The Federated States of Micronesia is a country spread across the western Pacific Ocean comprising more than 600 islands. Micronesia is made up of 4 island states: Pohnpei, Kosrae, Chuuk and Yap.
