India has conducted its way to assist the world in the COVID-19 crisis under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, stated Railway Minister Mr. Piyush Goyal on Saturday.
Mr. Piyush Goyal stated that in the pandemic period, the country with its over 130 crore population demonstrated its resilient strength by progressing quickly after combatting the virus.
India was not reliant on anyone in the pandemic, but rather extended support to the world in the fight against the virus, Mr. Goyal stated.
Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi with the true spirit of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (where the universe is one family) initially supported the access to medicines to more than 150 countries in addition to the availability of COVID-19 vaccines to more than 75 countries in India.
“This is the truest form and endurance of the citizens of India that we have ever cared for the globe while safeguarding ourselves,” Mr. Goyal stated, adding that “the deity of Tirupati Lord Balaji blessed and motivated us to serve the globe in the period of COVID-19”.
Recognizing that the COVID-19 pandemic has still not ended, he encouraged people to be cautious and to safeguard themselves by strictly monitoring guidelines, including keeping social distance and wearing masks throughout all times.
He said, “We’ve got to wait until everyone is vaccinated and until a cure is found”.
He further said, “After the COVID-19-induced restriction was relaxed, India’s economy is n the recovery, and the Indian Railway has carried out more freight loads this year compared to last year, as well as restarting almost 80% of trains, including mail and express trains in the country.”
He added, the work expansion work at the railway station in Tirupati was approaching the completion and would enable to receive more trains from different parts of the country.
