The paintings of Satheesh Comprise of works absolutely conventional in content and style nut also on new themes which are neither seen in such works of art. The process of ‘Upanayana’ of the Brahmis, a ritual witnessed only by the community is depicted almost in a sequential narrative manner with the main four episodes of the ritual in a continuous narration style. The other notable works he has done apart from his conventional themes of Mural paintings of Kerala is the ‘Holy Family’ a Christian theme in traditional Mural Style.
These experimental endeavors to link the traditional style with the theme outside the conventional norms makes Satheesh an artist of conviction and determination. The five color formula seen in Kerala’s visual art of traditional nature is efficiently implemented by Satheesh in his arts.
