Visakhapatnam: The Indian Navy’s mid-year refit review (MYRR) and mid-year infrastructure review (MYIR) conference were inaugurated at the headquarters of the Eastern Naval Command on Monday.
The two-day conference was chaired by Vice-Admiral GS Pabby, Chief of Material, integrated headquarters, ministry of defence (Navy) to assess the progress of refit of ships and submarines and infrastructure projects. The review is being attended by a high-level delegation from naval headquarters, ENC, Andaman and Nicobar Command, naval dockyards, repair yards and material organisations from Visakhapatnam and Port Blair.
Delivering the inaugural keynote address at MYRR, the Chief of Material complimented stakeholders for ensuring the quality refit of ships and submarines. He also lauded all stakeholders for ensuring continuous availability of all operational platforms and providing long-range support for the implementation of the Act East policy of the government.
The mid-year infrastructure review will be held on Tuesday.
