Keralam-based drone technology company axldrone used Drone Expo 2026 in New Delhi to present a growing portfolio of indigenous UAV platforms, avionics, navigation systems, power-management components and control technologies designed for professional and operational use.
The company exhibited at Yashobhoomi, IICC, from September 28 to 30, where visitors were given a closer look at drone platforms, components and technologies developed for real-world applications. axldrone describes its approach as an integrated UAV ecosystem in which the aircraft, internal electronics, control systems and software are engineered together rather than assembled from independently sourced subsystems.
The New Delhi showcase highlights the company’s effort to increase indigenous content across critical drone technologies while building products that can be used both within its own platforms and by other UAV manufacturers.
axldrone Presents an Integrated UAV Ecosystem
axldrone has built its product strategy around developing multiple layers of a drone system in-house.
The company says its ecosystem covers power distribution, satellite navigation, flight control, radio controllers and batteries, supported by its proprietary Aakash software platform. These systems are developed alongside complete UAV platforms, allowing the company to treat the drone as an integrated aircraft rather than a collection of unrelated components.
The same components are also offered for integration into third-party UAV platforms, giving Indian manufacturers and developers access to locally engineered subsystems for different mission and payload requirements.
Drone Expo 2026 Provides National Showcase
Drone Expo 2026 was held at Yashobhoomi in Dwarka, New Delhi, from September 28 to 30.
The event brought together drone manufacturers, technology companies, component developers, industry professionals and institutional buyers across the UAV ecosystem.
axldrone exhibited from Hall 2D, Booth F5, where the company presented its latest platforms and components. Its official update from the second day of the exhibition said visitors were examining drone platforms, components and technologies developed for practical operational applications.
The event gave the Kerala company an opportunity to present its indigenous hardware portfolio to a wider national audience at a time when demand for locally developed UAV technologies is expanding across industrial, security and professional markets.
F400 Platform Targets Professional Operations
Among axldrone’s complete UAV platforms is the F400 quadcopter, designed for industrial and mission-oriented applications.
The platform uses a carbon-fibre, aluminium and nylon-fibre structure and has a maximum take-off weight of 11.5 kg. It can carry a maximum payload of about 5 kg and has an endurance of approximately 18 to 20 minutes without payload.
The F400 incorporates axldrone’s own avionics and axl Orbit GNSS receiver and is equipped with multi-directional range finders for obstacle awareness.
The company lists applications including aerial inspection, mapping, logistics, emergency response, surveillance and support for defence and law-enforcement operations.
Indigenous Components Form a Major Part of the Portfolio
axldrone is also placing significant emphasis on the electronics and subsystems that operate inside the aircraft.
Its component portfolio includes power distribution boards, GNSS receivers, flight-control-related hardware, batteries and radio-control systems.
The company offers power distribution boards for different current requirements, including models designed for heavier UAV platforms. Its PDB 200A, for example, is rated for continuous current handling of 200 amperes and incorporates current sensing, voltage outputs and anti-spark switching.
A larger PDB 400A is intended for heavy-lift UAVs and other high-power robotic systems, with continuous distributed current handling of up to 400 amperes.
axldrone identifies these products as designed and manufactured in India.
axl Orbit Expands Indigenous Navigation Capability
Navigation represents another important part of the company’s UAV ecosystem.
The axl Orbit family of GNSS receivers supports multiple satellite navigation constellations and is intended for UAV, surveillance and mission-oriented applications.
The company also lists an axl Orbit NavIC variant, adding compatibility with India’s regional satellite navigation system to its navigation portfolio.
Developing indigenous navigation hardware is particularly relevant for applications where dependence on imported electronics or a single foreign satellite constellation can create supply or operational vulnerabilities.
OneView Controllers Support Professional Drone Operations
axldrone has also developed its own range of radio controllers for UAV operations.
The axl OneView system is described by the company as an Indian-developed professional remote controller offering long-range control and real-time video transmission.
A lighter OneView Lite variant combines proprietary radio-frequency technology with Hall-effect control gimbals and onboard display functionality.
These controllers form part of the company’s wider effort to develop the command, navigation and power architecture of a drone rather than concentrating solely on the airframe.
Battery Development Extends Across Different UAV Classes
The company’s axl Everfly battery family is being expanded with additional indigenous variants intended for a broader range of UAV platforms.
axldrone says the battery systems are engineered in-house for different mission requirements ranging from compact platforms to heavier UAVs.
Power systems are particularly important in drone design because battery weight, discharge performance and reliability directly influence endurance, payload capacity and flight safety.
Developing batteries alongside power-distribution and flight systems allows the company to optimise several parts of the aircraft around a common architecture.
Component Integration Could Support Other Indian Drone Manufacturers
One of the more significant aspects of axldrone’s strategy is that its components are not limited to its own aircraft.
The company offers navigation modules, power systems, controllers and other hardware for integration into UAVs developed by other manufacturers.
This creates the possibility of a wider domestic component ecosystem in which Indian drone companies can obtain locally developed subsystems without having to design every element internally or depend heavily on imported electronics.
Such an ecosystem can become particularly important as Indian UAV manufacturers move from prototype development towards larger production volumes and more demanding professional applications.
Kerala Startup Builds From Complete Aircraft to Internal Systems
axldrone is headquartered at the Kerala Technology Innovation Zone in Kalamassery, Ernakulam, and was founded in 2019.
Its development from complete UAV platforms into navigation, power, radio-control and software systems reflects a broader shift occurring within India’s drone sector.
Indian companies are increasingly attempting to control more of the technology stack inside the aircraft, particularly in areas such as avionics, navigation, communications and power management.
axldrone’s presence at Drone Expo 2026 demonstrates how this approach is now moving into commercially available hardware rather than remaining limited to experimental prototypes.
Indigenous UAV Ecosystem Takes Shape
The New Delhi showcase reflects a broader ambition to build drones around locally engineered systems from the airframe inward.
By developing UAV platforms alongside navigation receivers, power distribution systems, batteries, radio controllers and proprietary software, axldrone is creating an ecosystem that can serve both its own aircraft and other drone developers.
For India’s growing UAV industry, the ability to source more of these critical systems domestically can support stronger engineering control, easier integration and a more resilient manufacturing base.
axldrone’s expanding portfolio shows how a Kerala technology company is contributing to that transition by moving beyond complete drones alone and developing the internal technologies that make modern UAVs operational.
