Kerala-based marine robotics company EyeROV is showcasing its indigenously developed underwater and autonomous marine technologies at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on September 11–12, 2026, placing Indian ocean-technology capabilities before investors, industry leaders and international delegations gathered around the BRICS Summit.
EyeROV confirmed its participation on September 11, describing the showcase as an opportunity to present marine robotics engineered in India for missions across the world.
The company is among the Indian deep-tech ventures participating in the wider Bharat Innovates programme associated with the BRICS gathering in New Delhi.
From Underwater Robots to Autonomous Surface Systems
EyeROV has developed a full-stack marine robotics platform spanning remotely operated vehicles, autonomous surface vessels, autonomous underwater systems and artificial-intelligence-based marine data analytics.
Its technologies are intended for missions where sending divers can be dangerous, expensive or operationally difficult. These include underwater inspection of dams, pipelines, tunnels and offshore infrastructure, as well as maritime surveillance, marine research and search-and-rescue operations.
The company’s ROV systems can carry cameras and other sensors into submerged environments while operators remain safely above water. Its autonomous surface platforms extend the same philosophy to unmanned surveying and data collection at the water’s surface.
EyeROV is also developing AI capabilities to process information collected by its robotic platforms. These include automated defect detection, image enhancement, three-dimensional reconstruction and digital representations of underwater infrastructure.
An Indian Deep-Tech Platform for the Blue Economy
Bharat Innovates describes EyeROV as an indigenous full-stack marine robotics platform comprising ROVs, ASVs, AUVs and AI analytics.
That combination is particularly relevant to India’s expanding Blue Economy, where offshore energy, ports, shipping, subsea infrastructure, ocean science and maritime security increasingly depend on reliable underwater information.
Traditional underwater inspections can require divers, specialised vessels and lengthy shutdowns. Robotic systems can instead conduct repeatable surveys while generating video, sonar and structural data that can be analysed and archived for future comparison.
EyeROV’s technology therefore sits at the intersection of robotics, artificial intelligence, ocean engineering and critical-infrastructure monitoring.
Defence and Maritime Applications
Marine robotics also has growing strategic importance.
Unmanned underwater and surface platforms can support harbour surveillance, hull inspection, underwater reconnaissance, search missions and monitoring of sensitive maritime infrastructure while reducing the exposure of personnel to hazardous environments.

EyeROV’s appearance in New Delhi follows its participation in the larger Bharat Innovates 2026 exposition in Nice, France, in June, where the company presented its indigenous ROV technology to an international audience.
The BRICS showcase gives it another platform to engage potential customers, investors and industrial partners from outside India.
For India, the significance goes beyond a single company. Marine robotics remains a comparatively specialised deep-tech field requiring expertise in underwater electronics, propulsion, communications, control systems, mechanical engineering and artificial intelligence.
EyeROV’s presence at Bharat Mandapam demonstrates how Indian startups are beginning to move into technology sectors traditionally dominated by a relatively small group of international suppliers.
By presenting Indian-built robotic systems for operations above and below the waterline, EyeROV is positioning itself not simply as an underwater inspection company, but as part of India’s emerging effort to build globally competitive technology for the oceans.
