Under Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI) skill initiative program the institute is going to start a training course to generate skilled human resources ready for employment in the hospitals, diagnostic pathology centres, forensic laboratories, research industries and laboratories and academia.

The bill, moved by Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, seeks to convert three Sanskrit deemed universities presently functioning in the country into central universities.
The proposed IIS will be established in PPP mode. An Indian-culture centered classics curriculum should be dedicated to universal values and principles and in addition to material on literature, philosophy, polity (arthaśāstra as well as earlier texts that speak of checks and balance between the minister and the king), and history it must include scientific classics. Gujarat centre would be Dassault Systemes’ third such venture in the country after setting up CoEs in Hyderabad and Bangalore.
