Centre Nod for Largest Hydro-Power Project

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) on Wednesday approved Rs1,600 crore for pre-investment activities and clearances for the Dibang multipurpose project in Arunachal Pradesh, which is estimated to cost Rs 28,080.35 crore to build, and once completed, will generate 2880MW power.

India’s Renewable Energy Capacity Crosses 80GW-Mark

According to India’s submission to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change on Intended Nationally Determined Contribution (INDC), a combined electric power limit of 40 per cent from non-fossil fuel-based energy resources is to be introduced by 2030.
