Together, they will offer a full range of undercarriage components and complete track system for earthmoving machines. The joint venture will cover the Indian market needs as well as requirements for global customers across all industries.
NavIC (Navigation in Indian Constellation) is the Indian system of eight satellites that is aimed at telling business and individual users where they are, or how their products and services are moving. The indigenous positioning or location based service (LBS) works just like the established and popular U.S. Global Positioning System or GPS, but within a 1,500-km radius over the sub-continent.
“Around 1200 works of making bunkers have been completed. Around 1000 bunkers are at other stages of construction. A total of 3131 bunkers are being constructed in the region,” DDC Rajouri Mohammed Aijaz Asad said.
The four-deck transport structure will be the first of its kind. Elsewhere, including in Nagpur, three-deck structures have been constructed. Here, the first level is the Kamptee Road, second is Nagpur-Bhopal railway line, third is the flyover, and fourth is the Metro viaduct.
India’s northeast is a prisoner of geography. Landlocked and ring-fenced by neighbours such as China, Bhutan, Myanmar and Bangladesh, its lone land-based connection with the rest of India is narrow—the 22-km wide ‘chicken’s neck’ in Siliguri—and strategically speaking, easy to disrupt. This means the land-based networks of transport and trade, the lifelines through which goods, progress and prosperity flow, are limited, far-flung and congested.
NHSRCL, the implementing agency for India’s first HSR project, has decided to start construction work on the green zone (cleared land) by April 2020, with the tendering process having been initiated. Says Achal Khare, managing director of NHSRCL, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) set up by the Ministry of Railways and Gujarat and Maharashtra governments, “Pre-construction activity is in full swing. Shifting of utilities like cables, oil wells and other structures, apart from 25,000 trees, enroute the project corridor has been taken up on war-footing.”
Guests and representatives from more than 170 countries and regions have been invited to attend the expo, Vice Minister of Commerce, Wang Bingnan, told the media ahead of the fair. More than 500,000 buyers and visitors from home and abroad are expected at the expo, he said.
These environment-friendly products have been introduced for the first time in India and have potential to decrease the usage of conventional chemical fertilisers by 50 per cent besides raising crop output by 15-30 per cent, IFFCO said in a statement.
