Ultraviolette Automotive: Building India’s High-Performance Electric Motorcycles

Its flagship F77 platform combines a large structural battery pack, high-output electric drivetrain, connected-vehicle systems and aviation-inspired industrial design. At the experimental end of its development programme, the F99 Factory Racing Platform explores 400-volt architecture, carbon-fibre construction, active aerodynamics and electric-superbike levels of performance.

AjnaLens: The Made-in-India AI Smart Glasses Giving Delhi Police Real-Time Facial Recognition

More recently, AjnaLens devices were also reported among the surveillance technologies deployed by police personnel around Jantar Mantar in New Delhi in July 2026, bringing the technology back into public attention — this time accompaginning to move out of police control rooms and CCTV monitoring centres and directly onto the faces of officers in the field.

QpiAI: Building India’s Full-Stack Quantum Computing Ecosystem

QpiAI was established in Bengaluru in 2019 with the objective of combining artificial intelligence, quantum computing and high-performance classical computing. Its multidisciplinary team works across superconducting electronics, semiconductor technology, device physics, quantum algorithms, machine learning, software engineering and high-performance computing.

Astrome Technologies: Building Fibre-Like Wireless Links for India’s Connected Future

Bengaluru-based Astrome Technologies is developing an Indian alternative for locations where laying fibre is difficult. Its flagship terrestrial product, GigaMesh, uses millimetre-wave radio technology to transmit large quantities of data wirelessly between towers and network sites. Astrome describes the platform as an auto-aligned, multi-beam E-band radio capable of providing fibre-like, multi-gigabit connectivity without requiring trenches or underground cables.

Signalchip: Building India’s Indigenous Cellular Modem and Radio Chips

Founded in 2010 by semiconductor engineer Himamshu Khasnis and a team of experienced professionals, Signalchip operates as a fabless semiconductor company. It designs the architecture, intellectual property and circuitry of its chips in India while relying on specialised semiconductor foundries for physical fabrication. The company focuses primarily on high-speed wireless technologies such as 3G-WCDMA, 4G-LTE, 5G New Radio and software-defined radio systems.
