India’s dependence on thermal power will reduce to 50 per cent by 2021-22 and 43 per cent by 2026-27 on the back of renewable energy (RE) capacity additions, a report said. Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), is a flagship program of Govt. of India for providing connectivity to unconnected habitations, based on census 2001. In a move ahead in manufacturing indigenous metro coaches, a Kolkata based firm Titagarh Firema has become the first Indian firm which is going to manufacture aluminium-bodied coaches. It is supposed to supply the first fleet of these coaches to Pune Metro.
