Total HDN (High Density Network) Routes (649 RKM) Falling in Northeast Frontier Railway have been Commissioned with Electric Traction

In a historical achievement, CRS authorization has been received for introduction of AC electric traction to & from Guwahati railway station. Guwahati is the biggest and busiest railway station of Northeast being located in the capital of Assam.  So the biggest city of Northeast is now literally connected with all metros and other big cities through 25KV AC traction.

Power Minister Inaugurates Diversion of Marusudar River at Pakal Dul HE Project (1000 MW) in J&K

Pakal Dul HE Project (1000 MW) is being constructed by Chenab Valley Power Projects [P] Ltd. a joint venture company of NHPC Ltd (Govt of India Enterprise) and JKSPDC (Govt of J&K Enterprise). CVPPPL has been entrusted 3094 MW Hydro Power Projects for construction in J&K. Marusudar River is a major tributary of Chenab River. Diversion of River will pave the way for acceleration in construction activities of the Project.

Tata Power Collaborates with Tata Steel to Set Up 41MW Grid Connected Solar Projects in Jharkhand and Odisha

Tata Power and Tata Steel, the two flagship companies of the Tata Group, have come together to develop grid-connected solar plants in Jharkhand and Odisha. The two companies have signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for a duration of 25 years to set up 41MW solar project, which will be a combination of rooftop, floating and ground mounted solar panels. Under the project, Tata Power will develop Photo Voltaic (PV) capacities for Tata Steel at Jamshedpur (21.97MWp) and Kalinganagar (19.22MWp).
