Indian Army to Honour 30 Bangladeshi Freedom Fighters

Victory Day is celebrated on December 16 in Bangladesh commemorating the victory of the allied forces over the Pakistani forces in the Bangladesh War of Independence in 1971. On December 16, 1971, Bangladesh was born as an independent country. The day is also celebrated as ‘Vijay Diwas,’ or Victory Day, in India.

30 Rafale Jets To Fly With Ex-IAF Chief BS Dhanoa’s Initials

In recognition of Air Chief Marshal (retd) BS Dhanoa’s unrelenting backing for the Rafale deal, the Indian Air Force has decided to put tail numbers in 30 Rafale jets with ”BS” initials. Six Rafale trainer aircraft will carry RB series tail numbers which stand for Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria, the current Chief of Air Staff who played a key role as lead negotiator for the mega deal.

A key Indo-US industry body feels that the best way to go ahead with procurement — valued at about $20 billion — is through a government-to-government deal to enable ‘Make in India’ and technology-sharing. Led by defence minister Rajnath Singh and external affairs minister S Jaishankar, will focus on renewed efforts to take forward the Defence Technology and Trade Initiative (DTTI) to include drone warfare, light-weight arms and virtual augmented reality.
