Capt Ruchi Sharma, First Operational Paratrooper Of Indian Army

Many Twitter users posted the stories of extraordinary women. Ministry of Defence has also shared a story of Indian Army’s first operational paratrooper, Captain Ruchi Sharma.

NIA Achieves a Conviction Rate of Over 90% in the Cases Entrusted to it

Since its inception and till date, the Central Government has entrusted 319 cases to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for investigation. Out of total cases registered, in 237 cases charge-sheets have been filed. Judgement has been pronounced in 62 cases in which, 56 cases have resulted in conviction. Total 276 persons have been convicted in these cases. The conviction rate is 90.32%, Shri Reddy stated in the reply.

Establishment of Defence Corridors at Tamil Nadu

n pursuance to the Union Budget announcement (2018-19), it has been decided to set up two Defence Industrial Corridors in the Country, one in Uttar Pradesh and another in Tamil Nadu. Subsequently, five nodes for Tamil Nadu Defence Industrial Corridor, viz. Chennai, Coimbatore, Hosur, Salem and Tiruchirapalli have been identified.
