Rajputana Rifles Completes 200 Years of Service with Indian Army

In its rich history of 200 years, the battalion has participated in various epic battles all across the globe and also earned 27 Battle/Theatre honours and over 200 gallantry awards both before and after the independence including one Victoria Cross, 19 Military Cross, one Kirti Chakra, three Vir Chakra and three Shaurya Chakras and more than 50 Sena Medals for bravery and innumerable awards for meritorious and distinguished service.

Nigeria, India Strengthen Collaboration on Defence Capability

In moves to deepen defence relations between Nigeria and India, the Nigerian army and Indian Ordnance Factory Board have initiated moves to strengthen defence capabilities. The Deputy Director General, Export, Indian Ordnance Factory Board, Mr Prakash Agarwala, disclosed this during a visit to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai, on Tuesday in Abuja.

GRSE Delivers 4th Anti-Submarine Warfare Corvette (ASWC) to Navy

Defence PSU Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd (GRSE) on Tuesday delivered its fourth anti-submarine warfare stealth corvette to the Indian Navy, an official said. With 90 per cent indigenous content, the P-28 class ships are equipped to fight in nuclear, biological and chemical warfare conditions and featured the integration of a host of weapons and sensors.

Rajnath Welcomes ‘Historic’ SC Verdict on Permanent Commission to Women in Army

“I wholeheartedly welcome Supreme Court’s judgement on giving Women officers permanent commission in Armed Forces. PM Modi has supported the idea of the permanent commission for women&announced change in policy in his Independence Day speech in 2018,” Rajnath Singh said tweet.
Singh called it a historic decision and said this was announced earlier by then defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

India, Russia Defence Deals Likely to Cross $16 Billion by 2025

Defence deals between Indian and Russia are likely to cross USD 16 billion by 2025 after the two countries signed 14 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) during the recent DefExpo 2020 in Lucknow. Development and production of land, air and naval systems were covered under the memorandums signed during the DefExpo 2020.
