India Used Facial Recognition Tech to Identify 1,100 Individuals At A Recent Riot

The technology that India’s Home Minister is referring to is known as Advanced Facial Recognition Software (AFRS), which was acquired by Delhi Police back in 2018 in an exercise that aimed to identify missing children and catch criminals involved in child trafficking and other related acts. In a reply to a question about the scale of production of the Bullet Proof Jackets in the country and the countries to which these jackets were being exported, Rajnath Singh said, “Bullet Proof Jackets are also being exported to 18 countries. In view of the strategic requirement, the names of the countries are not disclosed.”
