Navy to Get 4 More P-8I Aircraft from May

The Navy will start receiving four more P-8I long-range maritime reconnaissance Anti-Submarine Warfare aircraft from Boeing from this May and the process will be completed by January 2022, according to Navy sources. “These aircraft will also be in the same configuration as the earlier eight aircraft. Plans are on to install encrypted communication systems on the earlier ones,” a Navy source said.

Posts in IAF Open to All Officers Including Women

Minister of State for Defence Shripad Naik on Monday informed Rajya Sabha that all posts in the Indian Air Force (IAF) are open to all officers including women.
“All posts in the IAF are open to all officers including women subject to vacancies, willingness, suitability, medical fitness and merit as per the policies in vogue,” the Minister said in a written reply to a Rajya Sabha question.

Army Set to Place Order for 118 Arjun Mark 1-As

Army sources told that the Mark 1-A, which weighs 68 tonnes and features a 120mm main gun, has cleared all tests, and that cost negotiations with its developer, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), are complete.
