Indian Armed Forces Contingent Participated In Victory Day Parade at Moscow, Russia

Russia is celebrating the 75th anniversary of victory of the then Soviet People in the great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. Indian Armed Forces contingent participated in the Victory Day Parade at Red Square Moscow on 24 Jun 2020. The Tri-Service contingent of the Indian Armed Forces comprised of 75 all ranks and marched alongwith contingents of Russian Armed Forces and 17 other countries. Shri Rajnath Singh, Defence Minister was among the special invitees to the event.

Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh reviewed India-Russia defence cooperation with Mr. Yury Borisov, Deputy Prime Minister of Russian Federation in Moscow today. Mr Borisov is the co-chair of the Inter-Governmental Commission with India on Trade & Economic & Scientific Cooperation. He also co-chairs with Raksha Mantri the High Level Committee on Science & Technology. Their discussions on bilateral cooperation and regional issues were very positive and productive.

BRO Expedites Work on Atal Tunnel Near Manali

The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has expedited construction work on the 8.8-km Atal Tunnel near Manali to complete the project in time. The tunnel is to be thrown open for traffic on the Manali-Leh highway by September this year. It would reduce the distance between Manali and Leh by 46 km.
