India To Upgrade Airstrips In Andaman And Nicobar Islands Into Full-Fledged Fighter Bases

In addition to these, as per the report, the airstrip at Lakshadweep is also set to be upgraded for military operations. While the elevation of the airstrips in Andaman and Nicobar islands into full-fledged fighter bases will secure the Bay of Bengal up to the Malacca Straits, the up-gradation of the airstrip in Lakshadweep will secure the Arabian Sea up to the Gulf of Aden.

Launch of IAF Mobile Application ‘MY IAF’

DRDO Identifies 108 Systems and Subsystems for Industry to Design, Develop and Manufacture

DRDO will also provide support to industries for design, development and testing of these systems on requirement basis. All the requirements of these systems by R&D establishments, Armed Forces, and other Security Agencies can be met through development contracts or production orders on suitable Indian industry. The India Pavilion at the Army-2020 International Military and Technical Forum was inaugurated by Secretary (Defence Production) Raj Kumar and Indian Ambassador DB Venkatesh Verma outside Moscow, the Indian Embassy in Russia said on Sunday. The forum will also host discussions among global military officials, researchers and defence industry experts about the application of 3D technologies in designing, manufacturing and operating weapons and military equipment, Sputnik reported.

Chinese Army facing Unanticipated Consequences Due to Strong Response from Indian Army

The Indian Army has clearly stated to China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) that “shifting” of the Line of Actual Control(LAC) is not acceptable to it, the sources said, adding the Chinese military is now desperately attempting to give “ex post facto strategic meaning” to its actions in eastern Ladakh. “Due to the strong response of Indian Army, the PLA is faced with unanticipated and unintended consequences of its misadventure,” said a source, adding it is looking for a “face-saving exit strategy”.
