Indian Navy-Bangladesh Navy Bilateral Exercise BONGOSAGAR

The second edition of Indian Navy (IN) – Bangladesh Navy (BN) Bilateral Exercise Bongosagar is scheduled to commence in Northern Bay of Bengal on 03 October 2020. Exercise Bongosagar, whose first edition was held in 2019, is aimed at developing inter-operability and joint operational skills through conduct of a wide spectrum of maritime exercises and operations.

HAL Rolls out 300th Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH-Dhruv)

Currently, HAL is producing 73 ALHs contracted for Army (41), Indian Navy (16) and Indian Coast Guard (16). Out of this, 38 ALHs have already been produced and the remaining will be completed by 2022, it said.The state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has rolled out 300th Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH-Dhruv) from its Bengaluru hanger on Tuesday.

T-Rex System from an Indian Startup in Bengaluru is Helping the Army Keep the Borders Safe

T-Rex is a long-range surveillance system that can pick up movement day and night even at a range of 15 to 20 kilometres. It has night vision capabilities and GPS trackers that guide the defence forces towards potential incursions. T-Rex, which is powered by fuel cells, allows the army to develop unmanned stations, requiring soldiers to visit only for maintenance, thereby reducing the risks of danger.
