Bangladesh Navy Chief Admiral M Shaheen Iqbal left on a state visit to India at the invitation of his Indian counterpart Saturday.
During the visit, Admiral Iqbal will meet Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Karambir Singh.
Bangladesh Navy Chief will also pay courtesy calls to National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, Army Chief MM Naravane and IAF chief Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari among others.
He will also visit India’s Information Fusion Center for the Indian Ocean Region (IFC-IOR).
Admiral Iqbal’s visit is expected to further enhance the professional relations between the navies of the two neighboring countries.
He will return to Bangladesh on October 29.
