Indian Scientists from CeNS, JNCASR have Synthesised Graphene from Sugar

The group led by Prof CNR Rao consisting of Dr P Chithaiah from CeNS and Prof G U Kulkarni from Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bengaluru has developed a rapid and simple route for the synthesis of rGO by the combustion of table-sugar. This method being single-step and reproducible is advantageous compared to the reported protocols used presently.

Major Racket of Fake Invoicing of ₹.7896 Crore Busted Involving Network of 23 Shell Companies

The officers of Anti Evasion wing of Central Tax, Delhi West Commissionerate have busted a major racket of fake invoicing of Rs.7896 crore involving fraudulent Input Tax Credit (ITC) of Rs.1709 crore, using a network of 23 shell companies, which procured and generated invoices without actual supply of goods and availed as well as passed on ITC. Two persons have been arrested on 29.02.2020, in this matter.

Army Introduces Smart Class Rooms in a Govt-Run School in JK’s Reasi

The Army has set up smart classrooms in a higher secondary school in Bagga village of Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi under its Operation Goodwill initiative, a defence spokesperson said on Sunday. The inauguration event of the renovated school on Sunday was attended by Army officials, the principal, teachers and students, the spokesperson said adding a total of 268 students and locals attended the event.

Raider-X Explosive Detection Device Built By DRDO HEMRL, IISc

Raider-X has the capability to detect explosives from a stand-off distance. The data library can be built in the system to expand its capability to detect a number of explosives in pure form as well as with the contaminants. Bulk explosives in concealed condition can also be detected by the device.

DRDO Biodigesters to Help Treat Sewage from Houseboats
